 Select and install an operating system from the CD Image library over the IP-KVM applet. RapidKVM has many free software platforms to choose from, such as Debian, FreeBSD and CentOS. Operating systems such as Windows may be used if you supply your own legal CD images.

 Configure your server like you want through the IP-KVM. You can either enable SSH or RDP for remote administration or use the IP-KVM applet, whichever you are comfortable with.
